Wild Venison and other Game
We are delighted to announce that as holders of a Game Dealers' Licence, this now permits us to offer various delicious wild Game when in season.
Our farm is well inhabited by a variety of wild Game; pheasants, rabbits, ducks, woodcock, snipe, hare and roe deer. The farm has only a small head of red deer, so we source our venison from other local Highland Estates. This is then butchered to our own specification/standards. The produce of all this wild game is incredibly good, so tender, so flavoursome and is very healthy too (low in fat and cholesterol). If you haven’t tried it yet, why not give it a go? We supply mouth watering recipes with all our Game too!
The seasonal nature of Game means that fresh game birds will only be available through the winter months, however we do also freeze some to extend the 'eating season'! Red and Roe Venison too is seasonal, but it is available fresh for more of the year – and again frozen venison is available most of the year.
